Kaziikini Community Camp is located north of Maun, Okavango/Moremi area of Botswana in southern Africa.

The traditional rondawel huts and campsites all use the central ablution facility (hot showers, flush toilets in open air reed constructions) which uses solar power to heat water and provide lighting for both the ablutions and the restaurant. One of these toilets is a recycling water toilet and has been working very well ever since it was installed. Kaziikini Camp's water for the camping sites is pumped from a sealed borehole by solar power and is safe to drink direct from the tap.

This eco - friendly community campsite at Kaziikini Camp is on the way to Moremi South Gate (Maqwee) and is approximately 65 km from Maun and 25 km from Moremi South Gate. This makes it an ideal base if a traveller is considering day trips into the Moremi Game Reserve. The camping sites can be located on the GPS coordinates: S19˚ 35.394 and E23˚48.148. It offers 13 well maintained campsites and 2 en-suite tents (2x3/4 beds in each) on raised decks under roof thatch. The campsite is a self-catering facility but if you don’t prefer self-catering you are welcome to order meals from camp's restaurant.

Shandereka Cultural Village offers 2 hours morning/afternoon cultural tours.

Kaziikini Lodging Facilities

Two en-suite tents (2x3/4 beds each) on raised decks under roof thatch with toilet, shower, solar geyzer and charging points using solar panel.

Campsites use the central ablution facility (hot showers, flush toilets in open air reed constructions) which uses solar power to heat water and provide lighting for both the ablutions and the restaurant. There is a braai stand in each site.

Located at Kaziikini Campsite, Mogogelo restaurant, a bar and restaurant which provides full catering to those guests who are not self-catering.

Boat & Mokoro Excursions

Experience the view of an incredible variety of animal and bird species through our pre-arranged boat and mokoro (traditional canoe) excursions in the Delta.

Hippo hideout Bar/ Mogogelo Restaurant

There is a bar and a restaurant which provides full catering to those guests who are not self catering. Home made bread and snacks can be ordered from the restaurant. There is a curio shop by the reception and firewood for sale.
