Accommodation: Accommodation at Ladismith Country House is made up of The Manor House and Paddasang Cottage. During the day, enjoy a scenic walk on the farm before heading out to the well known Seweweekspoort. Visit the historical mission towns of Amalienstein and Zoar. Calitzdorp, the Port capital of South Africa, is a mere thirty minute drive away. Oudtshoorn with it's famous ostrich farms and Kango Caves is only an hour's drive and George International airport only two hours away.
If you feel like exploring the town of Ladismith, there is plenty to offer. The town's friendly people will charm you. Visit Ladismith Cheese Factory with a selection of fine and delectable cheeses. Ladismith Wine Cellar offers the wine lover a great selection. Ladismith also have a golf course.

• Groenfontein - via Calitzdorp - 50km circular gravel road passing the Nelsriver dam

• Kruisriver - via Route 62 - 50km circular gravel road passing the spectacular Redstone Hills and regional architecture

• Matjiesvlei - Towards Calitzdorp and then a 16km gravel road with secluded farm among aloe-clad hills

• Huisriver Pass - Tar road towards Calitzdorp with breathtaking views

• Swartberg Pass - 45km gravel road via Groenfontein / Kruisriver and a 15km tar road with spectacular views

Hiking Trails: For the Hiking enthusiast there is the Elandsberg Mountain trail, which takes you all the way to Stanley's light (seen from Ladismith at night) or the Towersig Mountain trail, which will take you to Ladismith's major landmark: Towerkop.

“Paddasang” is situated conveniently away from the Manor House. It is very secluded with unobtrusive views of the Klein Karoo Koppies and the farm dam housing a variety of bird- and frog species.
