Award-winning Tuli Safari Lodge - set in the Northern Tuli Game Reserve - is an idyllic base for exploring the majestic landscape, spectacular wildlife and fascinating history of this beautiful, unspoilt corner of Botswana.

Lodge is located on the banks of the Limpopo River, close to the Mapungubwe World Heritage Site in South Africa, and at the heart of the proposed Greater Mapungubwe Transfrontier Conservation Area.

A varied, authentic and affordable safari experience awaits you - with over 350 species of birds, a large elephant population, vast herds of plains game, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog.

There's much more to the Tuli magic - stunning scenery, rich history, fascinating geology and the opportunity to participate in our conservation projects and community programs. Hosts can also help equip you with some of the skills and awareness of a safari guide in our 4 day Wildguides@Tuli course.

Hosts offer lodge accommodation at Tuli Safari Lodge and two self-catering Bush Camps at Nokalodi and Molema. Hosts also have facilities for small conferences.

Tuli Safari Lodge

Tuli Safari Lodge provides an idyllic base from which to explore the surrounding area, with its majestic landscape, spectacular wildlife and fascinating history.

With an established team of friendly staff and just 8 individually designed suites, hosts offer a highly personalised stay, which can be as relaxed or exciting as you choose.

The lodge is situated in peaceful grounds under the shade of ancient Nyala berry trees, tucked between the banks of the Limpopo River and imposing sandstone formations. The lodge traces its origins back to 1964 when the Northern Tuli Game Reserve was created, and as such it is unconventional in design and layout (please see our lodge layout map) and has a charming home-from-home feel.

Each air-conditioned suite has an en-suite bathroom, double/twin beds (or family rooms) and sitting areas both in and outdoors. There are two grades of suites – which called 4 and 5 “ele” - with “5 ele” suites being the more luxurious, spacious and private.

Wholesome meals are served in a variety of locations throughout the lodge’s extensive grounds - hosts try not to serve meals in the same place twice during your stay!

Tuli Bush Camps

Welcome to Tuli Bush Camps - Nokalodi and Molema - two delightful self-catering destinations, beautifully located on the banks of the Limpopo River in Tuli, Botswana. They are managed and operated by Tuli Safari Lodge.

Nokalodi Tented Camp is just across the South African border at Pontdrift, close to Mapungubwe and provides accommodation in very comfortable safari tents.

Molema Bush Camp is close to the Platjan border post, making it ideal for visitors travelling between South Africa and Botswana. Molema offers camping and accommodation in wooden chalets.
